Northbound NS 373 (Macon,GA-Chattanooga,TN) lean into the curve as the freight make the assault up Howardsville grade just north of Cohutta, GA. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but it's nice to see a Dash 9 for a change. The D9-44CW are a locomotive from the railfan prospective you either love them or dislike them. Upon delivery to Norfolk Southern between 1996 to 2004 their was a total on 1,120 of the D9-40/44CW a durable piece of equipment. It's hard to believe that it's 2021 and, their less then 400 of these now classic face of Norfolk Southern. Most if not all of the D9-44CW were sent off to be rebuilt into the AC44C6M's and all the older one's which couldn't be sent of to be rebuilt was sent to be scraped.
