Remarks & Notes |
The 1st crew for this Mason City to Spencer B41 local spent all night switching in Mason and building 111 car outbound train. Then B42 cabbed in from Spencer at 7am to take the train west. Almost 3.5 hours since leaving Mason and the crew has made it 18 miles. The delays would only get worse and all in this crew would make it 48 miles in 9 hours! Maybe the 3rd crew will get B41 the 100 miles to Spencer overnight. With that being said I didn't get alot done with this job, but I did grab a shot crossing the Iowa Northern's Garner Sub at Garner. This is one of the few gate protected diamonds left in Iowa. The job would have to clear at Wesley for a Hartley ethanol train coming east, which was going to be no small task. The job is carrying 40 anhydrous tanks that were picked up a few miles back at Tanks Spur. |
