Remarks & Notes
The Grapevine Vintage Railroad Cotton Belt Route train is seen departing the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. The Stockyards were built in 1887 as Fort Worth had become a major shipping point for cattle after the railroad arrived in 1876. The city was known as "Cowtown" and was the last stop for supplies and rest before cattle drivers crossed the Red River into Indian Territory. Grapevine 2014 is an EMD FL9 that was built as New Haven Railroad #2041 in 1960.
