On the Albula line from Chur to the Engadine, after the station of Reichenau-Tamins and the crossing of the Hinterrhein, is the first striking climb of 2.5 % up to the plain of Bonaduz, a difference in altitude of 54 meters. The 2-8-0 "Consolidation" G 4/5 # 107 of the Rhaetian Railway, built in 1906 by the SLM in Winterthur, and since its 100th anniversary in 2006 christened ALBULA, is on a "Davos round trip" from Landquart via Chur-Thusis-Filisur-Davos-Klosters to Landquart, as an engineer instruction trip. Today, Stefan Landenberger is on board, head of the Zurich Steam Group and thus responsible for SBB Historic's steam locomotives. He looks out from the driver's cab and is pleased to see a photographer he knows along the route.
