Shore Line Trolley Museum's former MTA New York City Transit subway car R-17 6688 (St. Louis Car Company, 1955-56) departed from the museum's Sprague Station in East Haven, Connecticut on Thursday, March 18, 2021 with the assistance of Silk Road Transportation. It headed south to New York City on rubber tires, where it will be part of an upcoming but undisclosed film production.
