The railcar ABe 4/4 # 46 of the Rhaetian Railway for the Bernina line, delivered in 1965 by SWS, BBC and SAAS, received a new red coat of paint in the Landquart workshop and now presents itself again as it ran in the early years, with golden trim. On this day, the vehicle, towed in freight train 5113, reached the Engadin again. In front of the depot in Pontresina, it now stands next to the "Bernina Crocodile" Ge 4/4 182 from 1928 and the "TW I" ABe 4/4 # 34 built in 1908. While # 182 and # 34 are declared historic vehicle, the "Goldenliner del Bernina" ABe 4/4 # 46 will be used further by the infrastructure in the next years, but is designated to become historic vehicle afterwards.
