Built by the Santa Fe Railway in 1930, this Spanish Colonial Revival-style station replaced the town’s original 1888-built Victorian depot. Today, this station is owned by the Fullerton Redevelopment Agency and it is the centerpiece of the Fullerton Transportation Center, with serves both Amtrak (Pacific Surfliners and the (Southwest Chief), as well as Metrolink’s commuter trains on their Orange County Line and 91/Perris Valley Line. Bus service here includes Amtrak and Orange County Transit District lines. And as seen here, a number of BNSF Railway freights pass by each day as well, such as Guaranteed Service Intermodal train Q-LACATG6-25, behind BNSF ES44C4 8263, ES44C4 6940, ES44DC 7504 and Dash 9-44CW 4726 as the train makes its way from Los Angeles to Atlanta, Georgia.
