GWR 7903 'Foremarke Hall' re-creates the famous 675 'Cornishman' as it passes Haile's Abbey with the 2C12 Laverton - Cheltenham during the GWRS 'Swindon Built' Gala Weekend.
In 1952 the name 'The Cornishman' was applied by Western Region of British Railways to the Wolverhampton Low Level (09:15) - Head code 675 - to Plymouth and Penzance (17:55), travelling Birmingham Snow Hill, Stratford-upon-Avon, Winchcombe, Cheltenham Malvern Road and Bristol. |
