A BNSF Railway Dash 9-44CW, 4654, appears to need some time in the shops as it belches smokes as it heads to Los Angeles. The other locomotives on this priority intermodal train, Z-LPKLAC9-19, which originated at Logistics Park Kansas City KS, are a pair of ES44C4s (8224 and 7188) and Norfolk Southern AC44C4M 4194 (formerly NS Dash 8-40CW 8979 rebuilt into an AC-powered locomotive at GE’s Erie PA plant). At 21-years of age, BNSF 4654 is too young to be emulating ALCOs! (Hesperia, California – April 21, 2021)
