The turning point for the Rio Grande Ski Train operating from Denver to Winter Park is the wye at Tabernash, Colorado. After unloading passengers just outside the west end of the Moffat Tunnel at Winter Park, the train proceeds west to Tabernash. On January 15, 2005, the Ski Train is being wyed and slowly rolls through the small mountain town. Once wyeing is complete, the train will proceed east to the next siding at Fraser for the day, before departing late in the afternoon, giving skiers a ride back to Denver.
