Remarks & Notes |
A loaded coal off the BNSF at Kansas City makes its way down the KCS Heavener Sub near Ginger Blue. The train slowly rolls thru the permanent 25 mph over the Elk River and around all the tight curves in this area. The train is only 10 miles from the Arkansas State Line in far southwestern Missouri. On the back of this coal train is the regular BNSF DP unit, plus 2 KCS motors that were put on at Pittsburgh for the 1.5% climbs the train must do over this rugged subdivision. |
