| The back waters of the Mississippi River is a hotspot for fisherman to ice fish. The Cold Springs Landing was a busy place on this nice Sunday morning. There were endless amount of holes in this 12-18 inch thick ice, and more being drilled by the hour. Not much was biting this weekend, but there were stories of 15" perch caught in this water in past winters. Here a Superior to Galesburg freight hustles by the activity. The boy on the left has the task of heading back to the parking lot to retrieve a few items from Mom who stopped by. Always good to get Mom to bring a few things for the fishing trip!!! |
