A rebuilt SD70MAC races westward out of Crozier Canyon, near Hackberry, with a 13,000 foot-long stack train. Running under the symbol S-ALTLHG1-15L (Stack train from Alliance, TX to Los Angeles Harbor, CA), this train is combined with the Q-ALTSBD6-16L (guarantee intermodal service from Alliance, TX to San Bernardino, CA). When the train arrives into Barstow, the crews will split the train up and each portion of the train will run to their designated destinations. This is now a normal operating practice with the railroads in order to cut labor cost and a lower operating ratio.
