Tribute. In an event that attracted railfans from around the country, Union Pacific Railroad 1943 (Veterans Tribute, SD70AH) lead a office car special on May 31, 2018 (operating as Norfolk Southern Train 066) on its positioning move as it headed to Croxton Yard in Jersey City, New Jersey. The main event was a few days later as it made round trip from Croxton to Campbell Hall, New York before returning west. The train is using the former Central Railroad of New Jersey (CNJ) bridge to cross the Delaware River from Easton, Pennsylvania to Phillipsburg, New Jersey. In the foreground is the now out of service former Lehigh Valley Railroad right of way, in the background the former Lehigh & Hudson River span, which still serves today.
See beautiful diesel locomotives in UP's traditional armour yellow livery and special commemorative paint schemes pulling long trains of yellows cars reminiscent of the days when UP domeliners seemed to go Everywhere West.
