Remarks & Notes
My great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer at Baldwin and he would give my father different Baldwin Locomotive Works builder's cards when my father would visit him in Collingswood, New Jersey. Here is the 4-8-4 GS-1 class built for the Southern Pacific Railroad, number 700. It had a tractive force of 60,000 lbs., and a combined engine and tender weight in working order of 735,700 lbs. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
