| With track maintenance vehicles all over the place, and a three mile train in the vicinity. The railroad in the Salt Lake area is a complete mess. The Chevron local is pulling up under the bridge to tie down. The crew van is pulling up as I shoot the picture. There is no way for them to get back to Roper yard and the crew is going dead. I had a brief conversation with the engineer as he was getting off the train. He said they should of been done with there work three hours ago. I heard the two, Utah Railway locals call the dispatcher on the radio from Midvale wanting to head out on the main with there trains. The dispatcher has to break the news to them that they aren't going anywhere soon. There are also a couple other UP trains caught in the may lay. |
