At the Union Pacific’s locomotive shop in South Morrill, Nebraska, a bad order traction motor is being changed out on Union Pacific GE AC4400CW No. 6300 on September 14, 2017. An overhead crane is being used to lower a new traction motor/axle assembly onto the transfer table in the background, while, the bad order axle is marked up and gets prepared to send away to a shop, most likely the railroad’s huge shop at North Little Rock, for a rebuild.
