Remarks & Notes
It's 2019 and traffic on the CSXT Bellwood Subdivision has rapidly diminished from the days of the Seaboard. At one point, this bridge carried hotshot trains like the Orange Blossom Special, or the infamous 'TT23' - the highest priority freight train on the east coast (and in the country for a period of time). Not anymore, though; after the Seaboard Coast Line merger, much of the traffic was routed via the arguably superior Atlantic Coast Line routing. By the time of the CSX merger, most of the traffic this line saw (and still is the case today) are locals and C&O originating grain and coal trains. Here's one of those coal trains, a powerplant empty returning from the Carolinas for the coal fields of West Virginia.
