Transfer train 32421 from Etzwilen via Schaffhausen-Eglisau-Koblenz to Kaiseraugst, between Lottstetten and Rafz. Re 4/4 II # 11109 (Re 420 # 109) of the SBB is pulling, in the rear is Re 4/4 II # 11114 (Re 420 # 114) towed. There are 3 first class standard cars type IV, which were needed for brake power. In the middle are the 3 articulated lowfloor trains RABe 526 # 682, # 686 and # 687 of the Thurbo, which are going for scrap in Kaiseraugst (Thommen company). This 3 of 10 "GTW" (Gelenktriebwagen) were built by StadlerRail for the Mittel-Thurgau-Bahn (MThB) in 1998/1999 and were constructed as "low cost" railcars for an about 25 years service period. Now, all of them will be scrapped (together with 4 cab cars Bt), due to more frequent malfunctions and because they would have to be renovated very expensively. They also do not have automatic couplers like all other Thurbo vehicles and are thus a foreign body in the vehicle stock.
