Remarks & Notes

A Reading C424 hovers in the greasy, oily gunk that was the foundation of the Lehigh Valley’s Bethlehem Terminal. The Reading C424’s were among the early-production versions that had the radiator shutters protruding from the rear carbody, with a gap between them for roof access. Later C424’s had a more typical Alco notched-corner carbody.
