The KCS railroad works south out of the Ozark Mountains towards the Arkansas River Valley. The railroad has 100 miles of Oklahoma running as they drop down from the 1321 feet summit at Gentry, AR, to around 480 feet near Heavener. Maybe some of the more unseen KCS rugged railroading? Here we have a somewhat an odd ball CP leader on a BNSF bound empty coal train. The train is working north between Cave Springs and Marble Rock. The 3 KCS type units were DP units setout at Wade, AR, off southbound loaded trains that used them to get over the mountains. Seems like the empty coal trains did the power shuffle to return power back to Pittsburg during my weekends I was here.
Crazy pool power consists, colorful gatherings of locomotives at a diesel service area, or a mixture of colorful locomotives in storage lines. A minimum of four different paint schemes required.
