As a severe thunderstorm begins to clear the Dalies area and heads south towards Socorro, it displays a rainbow with dramatic storm clouds. BNSF 5345 and BNSF 7687 are tied down with a welded rail train. As the storm passed over the Dalies area, the dispatcher gave a high wind warning of 65 mph from the Belen yard out 91 miles to the west, causing two other westbound BNSF trains to hold at the Dalies summit. Once the storm began to clear, each was given a yellow signal to slowly proceed west.
