Remarks & Notes
GTW train 451 is on its Detroit to Durand leg and seen using the center track at Birmingham. This station was the only high level platform station between Harrisburg PA and Gary In (at the time). Trains handling dimensional loads that would not clear the platforms had to use the center track. Also noteworthy is the third unit. It was on loan from CN and urban legend had it that the left portion of the CN noodle was retained when repainted with the GT noodle.
