I've had my eye on this unit for awhile. It's been serving as as the second unit switcher at the south end of Roper yard in Salt Lake City. I haven't photographed a SD60 in two years. And even then they were few and far between. In yard duty, at the south end of the yard it's is pretty inaccessible. So when I found it on the Wendover local today, I was pretty excited. It was nice to see that a locomotive that's been a yard switcher ,can still get up and go on the main line. He was flying across the salt flats at 70 MPH on the Shafter Subdivision.
