Northbound TRANSAP cellulose train from the CMPC pulp mill facility located in Mininco, crosses the Laja bridge over the river of the same name and passes by former San Rosendo Workshops. Further back, another train advances slowly waiting for authorization to enter the branch line that goes to the city of ConcepciĆ³n and Talcahuano city. This town was an important railway epicenter in Chile, especially in the times of steam locomotives. Currently you can see traces of that, as the great roundhouse, the massive coal bunker and workshops. The railroad triangle junction is frequented daily for many freight trains and some passenger trains, as San Rosendo is the meeting point of two major rail networks.
