On Monday, July 26, 2021, Canadian Nation 8952 (Grand Trunk Western Railroad Heritage, SD70M-2) lead CSX K614-25 (Chicago Clearing, IL (CN)-Philadelphia, PA, ethanol loads) down the River Sub (formerly West Shore Railroad) over Doodletown Bight from Bear Mountain to Iona Island, New York. CN recently joined the heritage unit game, with GTW joining BC Rail, Illinois Central, and other components of the CN network with an engine to celebrate its paint scheme in 2020 in order to recognize the 25th anniversary of its November 17, 1995 privatization and IPO.
