In front of the shed in Chur, the Ge 4/4 II # 616 "Filisur" in the special paint scheme for collecting donations for the renovating of steamlocomotive G 3/4 # 1 "RHAETIA", is waiting to pull the GLACIER EXPRESS to Disentis later. Since november 9th, 2018, the locomotive has this paint scheme, made possible by the Rhaetian Railway and designed by the young graphic designer Michaela Rapp, who describes herself as the biggest fan of the RhB. Since November 2018, more than 940,000 Swiss francs in donations have been collected, small and larger amounts, including from model train companies that made the model. The steam locomotive G 3/4 # 1 "RHAETIA" was built in 1889 by SLM in Winterthur for the Landquart-Davos Railway (LD), which was the predecessor company of the RhB. At the moment, the locomotive is partially disassembled and waiting at the Landquart depot for repair work, which includes, among other things, a new copper firebox.
