A rainy August afternoon over three decades ago finds CR 6477 leading an eastbound manifest past Phoenixville, PA on former Reading Company rails. The old passenger station here provided shelter from the downpour. Not too many years ago this scene would have been accompanied by sounds from the Phoenix Steel Co., whose fairly extensive works was located just to the left of this view - another element of industrial America now extinguished.
