I think the Mountaineer was one of those trains where Senators and Congressmen from along the route threw their weight around to establish/continue a service that might have been hard to justify by the numbers. Looks pretty good coming out of the tunnel at Eggleston on a cold January morning, though. Reckon where those tire ruts led? They look pretty heavily used.
