Long Island Rail Road train 2057, with "new" Kawasaki M9 railcars, heads west past the new elevators at the Floral Park station on the Main Line.
The current elevated Floral Park station was constructed in 1960 and is served by both Hempstead Branch trains and trains running on the Main Line. On June 16th, 2021, the station became completely ADA accessible with the opening of 3 brand new elevators, one for each platform.
The nation's busiest passenger railroad depends every day on a fleet of nearly 1,000 multiple unit cars to bring hundreds of thousands of commuters to and from their jobs.
