You can hear the calm rumble of thunder off in the distance on this humid summer evening as the lone GP40-3 which is assigned to CSX A707-20 sits quietly on the house track at the Tyner Holdout (MP WA-128.7) on the CSX Western & Atlantic Sub. CSX Nº 6556 is partly a former shell of itself as it started it's almost half a century career in 1972 of the Chessie System as a GP40-2, and serviced it's career through is predecessor, and currently it successor CSX til it became one of the many few older EMD's to become a candidate of the GP40-3 rebuild program at the Huntington Shops
