On the morning of September 2nd, 2021, CDOT/SLE train 1699, with CTrail (CTDX) GE P40BH 6711 sits stranded at CP274 in New Haven, Connecticut on Metro North's New Haven Line shortly after the passing of Hurricane Ida. The train was on its way from New London to New Haven the previous night when the crew encountered flood water and debris on the right of way, preventing them from continuing west. The train was finally brought into New Haven after the floodwaters receded later in that morning.
