The second of several work trains has just finished dumping rock at San Clemente and begins to proceed back west for another load. This move is assisting in fortifying the right of way here, after the tracks shifted due to geological instability, coupled with high tide coming in over the rails on a regular basis in recent days. The Orange Sub has been shut down for passenger traffic for most of this week, with service not expected to resume until October as a result. Thus, this is a high priority project for all parties.
