Train On The Rocks. BNSF Railway 7289(ES44DC) was trailing on the lead of the second W-SBDSBD that arrived in San Clemente, California trains loaded with rip rock and ballast. Due to "earth movement", Amtrak and Metrolink service through the area has been suspended since the morning of Thursday, September 16, 2021 as BNSF works with other area railroads to stabilize the track so that passenger trains can return. On the morning of Sunday, September 19, 2021, the train was unloading on the shores of the Pacific Ocean as the water was making is presence known to the work crew.
