Remarks & Notes |
Union Pacific's once a week Potash Turn is just exiting a deep cut through the distinctive red sandstone and mudstone so common in southern Utah. This location is right next to US Highway 191 about 5 miles north of the entrance to Arches National Park. When I took this picture there was only one customer on the branch; the Intrepid Salt Co.'s solution mine at the end of the tracks. |
