| CP 101 emerges from the Mink tunnel carving its way around Mink Harbour on the scenic north shore of Lake Superior. This is one of a number of tunnels along the north shore showcasing the impressive engineering required to navigate the imposing rock faces and narrow confines as trains work their way west from Marathon. Many of these remote areas, including here in Coldwell, were first documented by Canadian Pacific photographer Nicholas Morant, whose iconic images of Lake Superior live on today. |
