I was standin' on a corner (not THE corner, though I did visit that too) in Winslow, Arizona on the Route 66 overpass at the west end of town, as, in blistering (for this Idaho girl) 105 degree heat, a westbound intermodal train performs switching maneuvers; in the background, a westbound unit train of covered hoppers can be seen stopping for a crew change.
