New Management. The Santa Fe Southern Railway had been purchased by a new group a few months prior to this visit to Lamy, New Mexico on September 3, 2020. SFS GP16 93 (née-LN 414, GP7, 9/1952), former CNJ combine 300, and Caboose 562 (Ex-ATSF 999562) sit trackside with the noteworthy former church in the ground. Perhaps relating to the new owners connection to the "Game Of Thrones", fresh paint has been applied to some of the fleet. The railroad last operated public passenger service in 2014.
