| Cogwheel railcar Bhe 1/2 # 22 of the Pilatus Bahnen, running up from Alpnachstad as train CC 23, is nearing Pilatus Kulm station. This is with a maximum slope of 48 % the world's steepest cogwheel railway and is using the Locher system. On the right the Mattstock, on the left the Esel peak, in the valley a large sea of fog and in the background the beautiful panorama of the Alps. |
