Remarks & Notes |
The High Iron Co. ran a couple double-headed excursions from Jersey City to Wilkes Barre via portions of the now-abandoned CNJ Pennsylvania Division - otherwise known as CRR of PA. Strasburg Railroad's Decapod No. 90 was trailed by ex-CP Pacific No. 1278 with a lengthy consist of vintage passenger coaches. The train is crossing the Lehigh River as it passes "NQ" Nesquehoning Jct. tower and the eastward signal bridge with semaphores protecting the interlocking. There were not many coach windows opened on this chilly February day. Color negative. |
