Southern Pacific 99...no, not the Daylight...but still really cool. Southern Pacific business car No. 99, the Houston, sits front and center across from the ex-SP Oxnard depot (now UP yard office) as this afternoon's LOF67 rolls into town for it's scheduled set outs and pick up's. Part of a move of four pieces of equipment off the Santa Paula Branch Line earlier in the day by the LOF63-18, the Houston is joined this afternoon by sister business car Los Angeles (SP 131) and an Santa Fe Hi-Level car (ex-ATSF 549). The trio of cars are ultimately bound for Stockton, with the Hi-Level and Houston reportedly slated to be purchased by a museum in the midwest while the Los Angeles was purchased by BUGX.
