1 meter gauge oilfired "Berkshire" 2-8-4 steamlocomotive # 3020 "NYATURU" (Tribal class 30) of the former East African Railways, now owned and operated by the Nairobi Railway Museum, with a steam charter for Geoff's Trains/Tanago from Naivahsa to Nairobi. 26 of this class were built in 1955 by the North British Locomotive Company (NBL) for the EAR and served their entire careers in Tanganyika/Tanzania, one of the three territories/countries served by the EAR. In the background is the Lake Naivasha. |
