Support Our Troops. On the night of Tuesday, December 14, 2021, Kansas City Southern 4006 ("Support Our Troops", SD70ACe, EMD, 2005) was in Carteret, New Jersey under Roosevelt Avenue, having arrived on Norfolk Southern Train 64K. This unit was dedicated by KCS for Veterans' Day in 2018, but is a particularly interesting unit to catch up with this week, when it was announced that KCS was placed into a voting trust as part of its acquisition by Canadian Pacific Railroad pending final STB approval to create Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd. (CPKC). As the unit trailed east and is set up to trail west, this was the only opportunity to catch the nose uncoupled.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
