Remarks & Notes
Norfolk Southern train 180, led by a trio of high-nose EMDs, is at Tateville, Kentucky, on August 23, 1992. The train is northbound, passing through a deep cut of the Southern Railway’s upgraded “Rathole” line between Cincinnati and Chattanooga on August 23, 1992. NS EMD GP50 No. 7060 leads the train, running long-hood forward as the CNO&TP (Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific Railway) and Southern intended.
