Remarks & Notes |
SBB's red double arrow "Churchill-Pfeil" RAe 4/8 # 1021 is on a Christmas Eve round trip from Zurich via Killwangen-Würenlos-Regensdorf-Kloten-Winterthur-Andelfingen-Schaffhausen-Etzwilen-Ossingen-Winterthur-Wallisellen to Zurich HB. The elegant vehicle, built in 1939, is decorated for Advent and Christmas, on the one hand with an LED strip on the edge of the roof and in the lower box area, and on the other hand on the front with a fir branch-Christmas tree ball-candle motif. The Churchill-Pfeil stopped for a moment on the 177 meter long bridge (built in 1856) over the Rheinfall and the engineer switched off the very bright LED-stripes. In the background is the illuminated Laufen castle.
