Foreign Power. Norfolk & Western M-Class 12-Wheeler #475 sits in the hole next to the Pennsy interlocking tower at Lemoyne Junction, PA, awaiting clearance to proceed with her freight.
This little scene, however improbable, was staged During a November, 2021 Historic Transport Preservation (HTP) photo shoot at Pennsylvania's Strasburg Rail Road. It features the 475 as herself, with the old Pennsy J-Tower, which sits at the west end of the Strasburg Yard, as a backdrop. This interlocking tower, which was built in 1885 in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, was retired in the early 1980s after nearly 100 years of service, and moved here as a museum piece.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
