SD9s on a stack train??? Well, sort of. It's 2004 and Laurel is melting down. Nearly every afternoon, the Billings Transfer would drag cuts of BNSF traffic out of the yard to an open siding somewhere west of Laurel to make room (and reduce dwell time stats) where the cuts were tied down and awaited BNSF power and a road crew to continue west. Here, the SD9s are working hard to restart the train, as the trailing GP9 has suffered a major failure and has been shut down.
