Cogwheel train Bhe 4/8 # 3041 of the Gornergratbahn (GGB), also called "The Matterhorn Railway", is running down on the double track above Riffelberg, as supplementary train from Gornergrat to Riffelalp. This double railcar was built in 1965 by SLM and BBC and has 120 seats. The 1 meter gauge Gornergratbahn with the Abt cogwheel system is using threephase AC 3x725 V/50 Hz. The 9,34 kilometer long line with a maximum grade of 20.0 % was opened in 1898, electrified from the start. In the background 4221 meter high Zinalrothorn and 4505 meter high Weisshorn.
