Racing away from the setting sun is BNSF Railway train S-LHWLPC1-20, a massive double stack train heading from the Los Angeles Harbor's West Basin to Chicago's Logistics Park, with BNSF ES44DC 7543, BNSF Dash 9-44CWs 5527 and 5000, and Norfolk Southern Dash 9-44CW 9817 up front, BNSF Dash 9-44CW 4043 and Ferromex SD70ACe 4050 in the middle, and BNSF ES44C4 8136 on the rear. Meanwhile, on the adjacent Track 3, Metrolink train 704, a 91/Perris Valley Line train heading from Los Angeles to Perris, approaches the Fullerton Transportation Center (21st Century-speak for a "train station"). The intermodal train is so long that the commuter train will stop, load and unload passengers, and get under way again while the S-LHWLPC is still rolling through the station.
