Something has to be said about being out grabbing that picture when its -40c/f + a wind chill in the dead of winter on a sunny day. The now once a week Canadian was still able to make its way across Northern Ontario as just about every other train in a 300 mile radius was brought to a stop with air issues! Operating not even a hour late with cold slows gave the sun just enough time to come over the tree line. Trains M31331 22 + M31441 23 are not having as much luck as they sit in the yard for a second attempt later in the day when conditions improve.
For the most part, this section of CN is very isolated, and as an employee I am able to gain access. CN's Bala, Ruel, Soo, Caramat, Allanwater, and Redditt Subs are all featured.
